It has crossed one billion views in September, 2016. Most of his recent vlogs were made with him travelling on his booster board (his favourite mode of transport) through New York City. He is considered by many to be the boss of high quality and highly professional time lapses and drone footage. He was recently awarded by the GQ magazine as the ‘GQ man of the year’ award in London.

Casey Neistat attracted media attention when his 3 minute film iPod's Dirty Secret went viral in 2003. The video depicted his strong condemnation of Apple’s policy towards the replacement of iPod’s battery, protecting Apple’s denial when he requested for a replacement battery after just 18 months use. The film played major role in Apple changing their policy towards battery replacement.

Casey Neistat was born in Gales Ferry in Connecticut, USA. He has entrepreneurial skills acquired as inheritance as his parents were in the Business of Real Estate in New York. He was not inclined to schooling and dropped out of school when he was in 10th grade. He was just 15 years old at that time. He was leading a normal life between the age of 17 to 20 years old.
